The Texila Initiative is a community outreach program connecting scientists with communities to make science accessible to everyone. We create hands-on programs that bring scientific learning to life in rural and underserved areas, where opportunities for science education are often limited. While there is no alternative to formal scientific education, we believe that a scientific aptitude can be inculcated at any age, stage, or place.
Each program is developed by experienced scientists, including PhDs and professionals from academia, and industry, and delivered by highly trained staff and volunteers, many of whom are scientists themselves. Together they bring engaging, tailored learning experiences to schools, libraries, and community centers across diverse communities.
Our mission is to improve scientific literacy by making science accessible, relatable, and empowering. When people understand science, they're better equipped to make informed choices, spark innovation and creativity, thus strengthening their communities.

Your support funds supplies, program development, scientist travel, and community workshops.
